Sub routine
« on: September 10, 2009, 21:50:15 »

This is the sub routine. Everyone should be aiming to do this in their sleep. Its very basic but it works well and gives everyone something to do.

  • Kick out
(kick legs out mid air like a star jump)
  • Split kick
  • Spring grab
(if you cant manage that, just do a heel touch)
  • Japan Air
(similar to a split kick only you twist your legs one way and your upper body twists the other opposite way)

If and when you can do this and repeat the process a few times then work on doing it on the spot. Give yourself a gym mat and stay on it or if you are outside then just mentally make up a similar size area that you're not to bounce out of.

Work on it. It's harder than it sounds.

It was kick out, japan air, split kick to spring grab. I don't know if you've changed it tho

really? I dont think a japan air and split kick should be next to each other as they are so similar.

We decided that a split kick and a japan air is way to similar and thats why we put a spring grab in the middle of the two. I know the public dont know the difference but if we put the two together it would look too similar.

tbh i have only known the subroutine to be this, shoot me down if it has been different but, bobman told me that this ( kickout, split kick, spring grab, japan air ) was / is the subroutine.

Been as the majority of the club is now learing this im sure it wont be too much to ask if you two can adapt to this Smiley

I've go nothing wrong with it just that's what is always used to be and I was just stating that. Watch early videos of me and kev doing it, I think it's in the video where me and matt have our first meet up.

Gentle nudge for this. Anyone out and about keep giving this a go until you have the moves stuck in your head and then you can work on syncronising with someone and doing it without too much forward travel.
