Seeing as a few of you in Swansea have paid your membership now I thought it was time to see what you guys would like to do in the future. Some of you came to the playday festival last wednesday in cardiff which to be honest was one of our better festival outtings. It's given you a little taste of what the cardiff lot do at all these festivals and you actually performed for the live crowd which was probably the first time you've done that properly.

It would be easy to simply copy the stuff we do in cardiff and I dont see anything wrong with that at all but I dont want you to feel that its the only option and also Ricky might need a hand with the administration as things get on a bit!

During the year, we rarely turn down anything that is offered to us. Some of it is done for free but most of it is paid for even if its a small amount or a donation to the club. The Swansea Council Events Team have already been in touch and would like you guys to be in the christmas parade in november Smiley
Basically, because people like myself and jeeves are so passionate about bocking and we're a little nuts, there isnt much we wouldnt do. Festivals like you saw last week, company promotions, TV appearances, magazine interviews, teaching bocking in schools and so on. If you guys would like to also do these sort of events then I think we can easily get the ball rolling but you might just be happy with what you have learnt so far and to keep progressing yourself in the gym and not get involved with any of the performance side of things. There is nothing at all wrong with that, but I dont know you guys all that well and it would be good to hear what you all would and wouldnt like to do with the swansea branch future.

hmmmm.....I think a lot of the Swansea branch would like to start doing stuff like you guys are doing at the minute. Your right Jeeves, we do seem to love the crowd and we would love to do more stuff that involves the kind of stuff we saw on the National play day.

I would love to see the Swansea branch develop as far as Cardiff has.  I think if we had the chance to do more festivals we will get the feeling of wowing the crowd and hopefully it will push us a bit further to woo the crowd even more. Cheesy laugh Cheesy . I think once we have done a few paid events down in Swansea we can start thinking about possibly getting our own banner and PA system and that to look more professional and for us to become more popular and more recognized by the council and local businesses, that way we haven't got to nag you guys to come down when you can't make it  2funny

It's awesome that you've helped kick start things off with the council Matt and hopefully they will be able to help us out a bit as well.

I guess thats all I have to say but I'm sure the Swansea boys will add some stuff in the morning  Wink

I agree. I had a load of fun at the play day event and would love to start doing similar stuff down here in Swansea Cheesy. However, I still want to find enough time for us to progress further on our skills down in the gym. Also most of us are starting college/sixth form this September which is gonna use up alot of our free time.

 Cool

I dont think you need to worry about a banner and a PA because we can bring our PA down to you for the odd occasion and I've been looking at getting a new banner anyway so you could have our other one.

I hear what you're saying about school etc and some of you will also get part time jobs etc. Any festivals you do will primarily be one off special events and these usually take place in the summer. It's not like im saying come and make bocking a job for you but if you like performing and the money is offered then its up to you to say yes or no. Fortunately this can be done on a case by case basis.

As I said to Ricky, if I can secure £80 for the swansea xmas parade then that money could be used to pay upfront for the gym sessions or maybe even deposits on block bookings or something. It all helps out and takes the pressure off working out how many people are turning up to gym and how much each of them has to pay.
