Fairwater Leisure Centre
« on: February 10, 2009, 18:01:05 »

ME and jeeves visited fairwater leisure today and sat down with the assistant manager who seemed very welcoming. Her only concern was finding a 2 hour slot for us but she can look into that later. She has to run it by the general manager who is going to give me a call in a few days.
They have about 8 crash mats, enough gym mats to cover the moon, some soft play stuff and I beleive gymnastic eqpt like horses.

What is good is the layout because its 4 badminton courts laid out in a grid and we can have half the hall (2 courts) but have them long ways so we can get the full length of the hall. This will please people like jono who need the space to do 300 backflips. I'll post an image up to explain in a bit.

Looks good though. Fairwater already have freerunning sessions and street dancing session so they already seem keen on the urban sports.

Here is the layout we're hoping to get.
This is taking up 2 courts so should cost us roughly what we are paying at the moment at channel view, but give us more space.

The pink/red area is where we would be, with crash mats at either end so it gives people plenty of space to run up.

Me and Fi went back to Fairwater today. We saw a different assistant manager who seemed to know about us and said its still with the general manager.

The woman we spoke to previously is there thurs afternoon so I'll pop along and see her again cuz I think this would bea  great move for us.
