Slack lining?
« on: April 24, 2011, 20:10:39 »

Would anyone be interested in doing this? We've played with it at Cliffhanger (and I think somewhere else too) but I was thinking it is something we could do ourselves. Not really bocking related at all, but just a nice easy to set up and organise thing to do.

For those who dont know:

I should point out, despite me attempting this on stilts previously, I dont mean on stilts. Just thought it was something quick and simple for us to take places.

Well I got one and me and steff took it out tonight to learn how it is set up etc and it was very frustrating at first. It gave me that feeling that its going to take a long long time before I can walk on the line un-aided.

An hour later, we could both walk to the end of the line which in this case was a tree about 10 feet away. It's not easy but our progress was definately there. I also dont think we had the line tight enough having looked at other pics and vids.

I can really see us taking this most places with us.

Challenge: We want to set one up that goes over the river taff.

Shame we didnt get a chance to go on it yesterday with you guys.

Ricky went on it last night, and again today. I think he's gonna get one sooner or later.

Capital Bocking lol

At the moment I cant see it happening. The bocking community isnt what it was and if it is going to happen then I expect it to be a 1 day event and just a mass bocking meet in the bay....could be a good thing though.

would be cool to even arrange one through the club ourselves - shows we are at the forefront of promoting bocking, not to mention we call the shots - and with Matts contacts, im sure we could bring in a good crowd Smiley
