Hi, I'm looking to buy some jumping stilts, and after doing some research over the past few weeks have decided on the Pro-Jump EXO pro,,, my problem is which ones ? weight wise? I am 5ft 9" and at present 14st (89kg), but my weight dose vary between 12.7 st and 14st max. I see a tot of people saying you should get stilts 10% more, and the pro jump chart i'v seen recomends M100, is this the same as the CZ100 or should i get the CZ90 ? this is realy starting to fry my brain now, an i aint got a lot left to fry, so any help would be realy helpfull. Thanks in advance

Personally I made the mistake of getting 110kg weight powerisers but after a few weeks I tried out some 70kg pro jumps and found them to be alot nicer you should try someone elses out first. Where you from?

i'm up in Aberdare, at the moment the only other person i know with stilts is in Newbury, they'v got 70kg powerisers and they seemed quite spongy when i tried them out, i didnt do any jumping just walking as it was my first time and because of the weight limit

Hi there mate, welcome to the forum ! My names Neil and its a pleasure to have you here
I am alot like you with my weight, varies up and down but since you hit max around 14 stone, personally id recommend 90kg springs - but so long as the Exos are like the standards, you can get anything from 90 to 99 so maybe split the difference and try 95s
If some of the club go to Cardiff bay on the weekend, if you could make it - it would be good for you to go along and as Simon above said, have a go on someone elses stilts first to see how you feel

I know this might sound a bit daft, but dont they "wear in" so would be softer than new ones ?

Yes they do - but only when worn in will you get a good feel for the stilts - breaking them in can be quite a challenge lol i would offer you to try my stilts but they might be too soft, i have 80s and live just over the mountain in Rhondda

It's very hard to bottom them I found that softer is alot better starting off less painfully and you progress alot better, but yea as Neil said come to a meet and try it out yourself see what u prefer

Hi Greg, you didn't mention you were from south wales in your email I see simon and neil are taking care of you and I dont really have anything else to add other than the club has a pair of 80kg new exo's that you could try before making your mind up. As for Neils injury....ummm I'm pretty sure he did it in that other extreme sport....knitting. ps. I used to work in Bryncynon Strategy and we often went to Aberdare leisure centre. Seemed cheap to hire and ideal for bocking...just not sure what crash mats they have there.
