Some of you may have seen this before either on my facebook or something but its worth watching again. It's far better on HD in fullscreen mode

It's a camera called the Red One and this is some skateboarding filmed in Paris. The camera films rather splendidly at 120fps at a rediculous resolution of something like 4000 pixels (full HD is 1080).

Well on Friday I am going to Pinewood Studios just outside london where I am meeting a guy who owns one and is happy to test out bocking with it. My buddy kieran has arranged this as he's just finished working there and he thinks we could even have a few minutes on one of the full size sound stages (movie studio) either during a lunch break or even if there is one with a set being built on. I really wanna see if at slow motion you get the same field of depth you get with the skateboarding.

If you like what you see then you can buy a red one body (no lenses) for £14,000.

I reckon it's gona come out really great, I could never get proper slow motion from full HD which sucked......would you need a super computer to edit it lol???

I dont think I'll be saving the footage on a usb stick some how. I dont even know what format ir records to or in.

Seriously though dude, let me know how this comes out, I reckon it would look insane. They record in REDCODE, which is .r3d, last time I looked at it it looked bloody complex though... I know my copy of Vegas 9.0 can read/edit the format, I'm not sure my PC would be able to handle it though!

Wow im still reeling.. who would have thought skateboarding in slow mo would look so majestic !! GL on getting some bocking filmed on them - wud look awesome Cheesy

This got cancelled today as the cameraman has to fly to Italy for a shoot last minute Sad

I was rather excited but considering he was doing this for free it was nice of him to call kieran and let him know and he is keen to arrange something soon
